Meeting results

The tasting last night was much larger than the previous month. There were good times to be had for sure. The new people, Alan, Jason, Colin, and Steve had a blast.

The verdict was that a homebrewed hazelnut brown, brewed by Brian Sanders was the top beer of the night by the newcomers. Also for the tasting was Mike's burbon mead, and a belgain burbon ale, which was amazing.

Its always worth coming out to these tastings for the variety in beers to be drank, but without fail, the homebrews always win overall in flavour.

The German festival is this weekend (Aug 12th-13th) and worth coming out to. It's at Carrilon park, will have great German foods, bands, and of course, the beer. featured beers at this fest will be:

Ayinger Jahrhundertbier
Hofbrau Original Lager
Paulaner Original
Erdinger Hefewisen
St. Pauli Girl Dunkle
Ayinger Oktoberfest-Marzen
St. Pauli Girl Lager
Grolsch Bierbrouwerij Premium Lager
Fischer Amber
Hofbrau Dark
and Widmer Bros. Hefewiesen

and if that's not a reason for me to celebrate festivus, I don't know what is.

Remember, If you can't make it out to these festive events, you can always get all the beers and supplies to buy them at Belmont Party Supply.

Afterward, I will likely go to Boston's to see what they have on tap. Last I checked they had Great Lakes Commodore Perry IPA and Flying Dog Gonzo Porter on tap. Always a good idea to check in on those guys.

Mark, Evan, be warned, I'm coming with my drinking gloves on!!

More info on Alefest, the next coming meetings, Beerfest, Beer & Sweat, and other related updates to come in the near future.
