I could find nothing for the Blackout stout clone. You could do an old rasputin clone which is in Clonebrews.
As for the dirty bastard..
Ol' Dirty Bastard - Scotch Ale Clone
ALL GRAIN 11 gallons 2 hr boil
25lbs 2-Row - I might split this between Golden Promise and regular American 2-row 1.5 lbs Special B 1 lb Cara-Munich 1 lb Cara-Vienna 1 lb Cara-Pils 4 oz Black Patent 4 oz Chocolate Malt
Mash @ 154*
Hops
(60) 2 oz Kent Goldings (4 AAU), 1 oz Perle (9 AAU) (30) 1 oz Perle (20) ½ oz Cascade - Just becuase I have it on hand (20) teaspoon Irish Moss
Splitting the yeast: 5.5 gallons WLP028 Edinburgh and 5.5 gallons WLP001 Cali
Fermentation Temperature: 65*
70% Efficiency OG – 1.068 FG – 1.015-10 ABV% 7.0-7.5 SRM 23 IBU 47
Note: Taking the first runnings or about 2-3 gallons of the first runnings and boil down to half to caramelize the wort.
Thanks for the Ol' Dirty Bastard recipe. I take it that you have brewed this one before. I've done the Old Rasputin, aged it in a virgin (she's never done it before)oak barrel with Maker's Mark bourbon added. I'll plan on doing the Dirty bastard in the near future. Thanks again
